Beckham Talks Animal Rescue
Hi, I’m Beckham. Many of you have probably seen me lounging on my bed in Dede’s office during the day, inventing new positions to sleep in. But don’t worry -- I am just charging my batteries so I can zoom around the house when we get home!
A few years ago, life was not so comfortable for me. My brother and I were found roaming the back roads of Kentucky, and were taken to the animal shelter. There, someone adopted my brother, and I was left all alone. The kind staff at the shelter contacted an English Setter rescue organization to find me a home. Lucky for me (and for my Mom!) she had been searching that same rescue site for the perfect pooch. The rest, as they say, is history.
I would like to encourage everyone to visit your local shelters, and rescue sites, next time you are looking to get a pet. Who knows, maybe you will find a gem like me!
